Roger Mehta B.A. (Hons) Counselling /Psychotherapy & B.A. Counselling, profound journey through trauma, mental illness, and addiction, has not only shaped his life but has become a beacon of hope and transformation for many.

Who we are

Rogers’ recovery journey began in 1998 and with a firsthand understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health, his passion in helping others culminated in the creation of The Harmony Workshops in 2009—a programme endorsed by the HSE and recognised by the Social Entrepreneur of Ireland (SEI) Awards.

These workshops have reached over 20,000 individuals across Ireland, influencing change across diverse settings including schools, youth organisations, drug treatment facilities and both the male and female prisons of Mountjoy and Dóchas in Dublin.

Roger’s remarkable journey began as a youth worker in Clonmel’s RAPID areas with the Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Service, where he laid the foundation for a life of service and support.

In his role as a community drug and alcohol facilitator with the Mid Tipperary Drug Initiative (MTDI), he also worked alongside the HSE South Tipperary Substance Misuse Team to support individuals and families struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

His compassionate approach extended to providing inpatient support at St. Michael's Psychiatric Hospital in Clonmel before its closure in 2012. Through each of these experiences, Roger has cultivated a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, inspiring transformation and healing in his community.
